Endless possibilities for young and old alike
Krimml offers countless vacation opportunities. Hikers can enjoy the mountains on well-marked trails in one of the surrounding Tauern valleys or on a summit tour. The valleys, such as the Krimml Achental, can also be explored by mountain bike. Our alpine pasture, the Söllnalm, is also located in the Achental valley, which supplies us with a wide variety of alpine products in summer: butter, cheese, bacon, milk, buttermilk, goat cheese, and bread are made from these products.
The Tauern Cycle Path, which runs along the Salzach River to Passau, starts in Krimml. Water lovers will feel right at home in the Durlassboden reservoir or the swimming pool, but tennis, Nordic walking, paragliding, horseback riding, and mini golf are also available.
Numerous events, such as the weekly village market or the open-air concert, excursions to Salzburg, Innsbruck, or the Grossglockner High Alpine Road round off your vacation in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park vacation region.
